Brentina's retirement

News from the 2009 Rolex World Cup in Las Vegas is of course, old by now, but I've just been watching You Tube clips of the finals; Steffan Peters and Ravel less than half a percentage point ahead of Isabell Werth and her Hanoverian gelding, Satchmo (Sao Paulo/Legat), both their freestyles so beautiful to watch I get goosebumps!
But this year, surely the most moving occasion must have been the retirement ceremony for the 18 year old Hanoverian mare, Brentina (Brentano II/Lungau).
