The North Island Dressage Championships were held at Woodhill Sands on February 13, 14, 15 2009.

There were several successful Hanoverians in the winning lineups.

Grand Prix Champion was All Black II, with rider Charlott Bayliss. By Anamour out of Tipsy Kay xx, by Little Brown Jug xx, All Black II was bred by Mary Wilson.

Charlott and Jody Hartstone (who took Reserve with Donnerwind) have been a challenge to each other all season, so it will be interesting to see how the battle swings at the Horse of the Year Show.
